Campus Renewal

Many colleges and universities offer first class learning despite a tired environment that is no longer fit-for-purpose. 50’s and 60’s dated buildings are still in widespread use across campuses all over the UK. Schools and colleges are often without the funding required to refurbish key buildings, let alone rebuild a whole campus.

UKSF recognises this problem and works with the senior management team of the institution to develop dynamic new plans for revitalising the campus whilst retaining realistic delivery targets and funding solutions to ensure actual progress is made.

Despite industry practice, it is essential to involve the funding strategy right from day one and work with a multi-disciplinary team that can offer design, project management, accounting and finance advice to achieve real plans that can come to fruition.

UKSF will work closely with architects, engineers and surveyors to build a complete picture of the current learning environment and develop a new blueprint with the senior management team and the professionals. Whether a full campus redevelopment is required, or a smaller building and layout refresh, we will pull together educational experts and funding sources (which may tap into debt, grant, guarantees and partnerships) to ensure the finished project enhances learning for students and elevates the stature of the college.

Please have a look at our case studies on NESCOT (a large FE college in Surrey) and Glynŵr University (at Wrexham in the North East of Wales) to see the sort of expertise we can bring to your campus.
